The group’s purpose is to promote the well-being and social inclusion of women in Warrenpoint and beyond, and they were recognised for doing just that at the recent Newry, Mourne & Down Council Chairperson’s Civic Awards ceremony, receiving an award for their outstanding achievement for bringing women together.

Each year, the WWG committee chooses their inspirational woman of the year. This year Rosemary Doyle was presented with a well-deserved award for her lifelong commitment and dedication to the Samaritans and other charities.
